ABOUT SUP YOGA MKE
You may be thinking that SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board) Yoga is only for advanced yogis. But that’s not the case at all, no SUP or previous yoga experience yoga experience required! It’s a super fun activity for anyone looking to get a good work out, relax and connect with nature. SUP Yoga is an innovative and energizing way to transform any yoga practice - even for those new to yoga or SUP. There is something so magical and peaceful about being on the water. It’s a great way to find your zen and set your mind at ease. You can leave whatever you came with underneath the water.
SUP Yoga helps you develop a new awareness of your breath, body and mind; because every breath, body, and movement will influence your balance. SUP Yoga teaches you how to slow down because being on the board will naturally allow you slow down and focus on your breath, body, movement, and balance. On the water you can really tune into yourSELF! Focus on engaging your core and and using strength for stability instead of balance.
Mindy and Katie are two free spirited yoga instructors who wanted to take their yoga practice outside of the four walls and into the great outdoors to enjoy MKE at it’s finest. We have been practicing yoga for years teaching yoga since 2015 and certified to teach SUP yoga in 2017. There are so many amazing bodies of water to practice SUP yoga in MKE and we wanted to grow this community.
SUP Yoga MKE brings the SUP's right to you! We will arrange a class for you based upon your time preference and location. We are available most weekdays at 6PM and all day on Saturday and Sunday. There are a variety of options to choose, ranging from 75 minute all levels classes, 2 hour yoga and paddle, or a 3 hour yoga, paddle, and fresh juice session. We have five inflatable SUP's available specially designed for yoga and easy to paddle. Each board can hold up to 290 pounds. Expect a lesson in paddling, a structured yoga class for all levels, and a whole lot of fun.
